The assessment notes feature allows assessment creators to send a note to their counterpart about the assessment in question. Trainees can use this feature to ask for feedback on specific aspects of their performance or provide information about the encounter. Attendings will see this data when completing the assessment. When an attendings creates the assessment they can also send a note visible to the trainee. [Please note: not all assessments have a trainee self-assessment component]

When a user selects an activity, they are given the option to enter assessment notes. 

When clicking on the assessment with notes, the notes will be presented to you.

On the home page of the app, assessments with notes are indicated by a note icon, letting you know that additional context has been provided. 

Please note that if an attending rates a trainee in a program that does not prompt trainees to do self-assessments, the option to enter assessment notes is not available. If you have any questions, please contact SIMPL Support at support@simpl.org or help@simpl.org.
