SIMPL attendings and trainees are notified by email anytime someone requests an assessment of them or assesses them. They receive this email notification even if they have no mobile device installed. If they have SIMPL for iOS or Android installed on their phone and are logged in, those users will also receive an push notification on their phone if they have allowed such a notification. When first installing the SIMPL app, the user is asked if they allow SIMPL to send notifications. Further edits of the type, style etc of the notifications can be edited under notification settings on a user's own personal device.
