The current SIMPL OR system is being depreciated. Programs who are members of the SIMPL collaborative are being migrated to the new SIMPL system over the course of the next few months in Spring/Summer 2024.
Programs administrators will be receiving individual emails regarding the specific dates their program will be migrated. Once migrated, program administrators, trainees and attendings will lose access to the SIMPL OR system and the new SIMPL system will contain the activities and SIMPL OR assessment previously in the SIMPL OR system.
What should I communicate to my program's attendings and trainees?
Once you know the date your program is being migrated you should alert your trainees and attendings about the following:
- The date attendings and trainees should begin using the new SIMPL system for SIMPL OR assessments.
- The date attendings and trainees will lose access to the SIMPL OR system.
- Trainees will not see assessment history data in the new SIMPL system for assessments completed in the SIMPL OR system. Should trainees want access to their historical assessment data they can email help@simpl.org.
What should I know/do prior to my program's migration?
Update your program roster in SIMPL OR admin site as follows:
Archive anyone in SIMPL OR who is no longer part of your programs
Ensure that trainee PGY information is accurate.
Any individual in your program’s SIMPL OR program who is not in your current SIMPL (EPA) system will be invited to the new system if they meet the criteria below.
----------
Criteria for attendings in SIMPL OR that are not in SIMPL EPA for migration:
- Attendings must have logged into SIMPL OR since 1/1/24
Criteria for trainees in SIMPL OR who are not in SIMPL EPA who will be migrated:
- Trainee is a categorical trainee,
- Trainee is a PGY 1-4
- Trainees has logged in since 1/1/23
----------
What should I do/know post migration?
Please prompt anyone who remains unregistered in the new system to register their account by sharing these instructions.
Assessment data from both the old app and the new module will be represented in the upgraded SIMPL Reports, available in May. The new module will only feature historical data for assessments created in the new module
